Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) made some tax proposals for FY 2023/ in a bid tobroaden the Tax base.These proposals if passed into law by the Parliament shall become enforceable in the financial year starting July 1, 2023. The proposed tax laws include the Income Tax (Amendment) Bill 2023 – (ITA), Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill 2023 – (VAT) Let us delve into these proposals and get an understanding of what lies ahead of Uganda’s tax regime come July 2023.
