2026-06-12 – 2026-06-26

Uganda held general elections in January 2026 and the 12th Parliament was sworn in on 13–15 May 2026. The 2026/27 budget of UGX 84.39 trillion is the first major spending plan under the new Parliament and the NRM’s 2026–2031 manifesto. Civil society groups have called on the new Parliament to prioritize citizens over politics and ensure better use of public resources. This survey asks Ugandans what they know, feel, and expect from the first budget of the new Parliament. All responses are anonymous and will be published by EML under the #WeShapeGov initiative.
